@sorellman I don't think so. Horses don't really need us, but I agree we can benefit each other so long as we treat them with compassion and respect.

@StephBer1 I don't know how you guys manage living in such a harsh area. God bless all of you and I hope that strong ecological measures are taken up by the AUS govt which can and will help to restore the local environment over time. If not, you can educate yourself on these methods. If you don't already know it's called restorative agriculture or regenerative agriculture and other similar methods. I have some videos of such on my related playlists.

@@homie3461 I think most horses enjoy riding though. They seemed suited to those functions and as long as they aren't overworked or mistreated, they seem content to function in that capacity.

@@homie3461 I support the creation and protection of all wild horse herds, I believe those should be protected and nurtured, but I think domesticated horses with kind and ethical owners are happy. I find it hard to believe all domesticated horses are unhappy.

It's terrible to see any horse or animal neglected. Why can't people release their horses to a sanctuary or place like this before that happens if they don't want them or can't care for them??
