  1. One of the most beautiful and heartwarming stories I've seen recently. Thank you for sharing your story with the world. Your animals' relationship is truly beautiful. Anytime I see another animal relationship my heart just expands. It's wonderful to know these kind of relationships can exist in the animal world and not just the human one. I think people underestimate animals by a whole lot. Every animal may not feel exactly as we do but clearly, many animals are indeed capable of clear feelings and loyalty. We should keep this in mind when guiding our public policy decisions towards animals. Personally I want to see the immediate end of ALL factory farming as we currently know it, and strict regulations set up going forward in high volume animal operations. We should have already banned all animal testing on animals other than rodents. We need to do that now. And finally I believe animal cruelty penalties need to be stiffer. A lot of messed up people are out here getting away with animal neglect and abuse and never having to face any consequences for it. That's not right. There are some people who just shouldn't be allowed to own animals, they can't be trusted with them. So I certainly think in most cases animal abuse penalties need to be increased.
