@FreelancerFreak what could help that though? If you are an EMT professional what do you see as the problem in gaining and retaining EMT workers? I'm honestly curious. The one thing we don't need is a lack of EMT workers and 911 dispatchers. If that's happening something is severely wrong. Is it a lack of funding or something else?

Now this person I have to say truly deserves 30 years. Or lethal injection. It should be his choice I say. Personally I'd rather take a deadly shot than spend any significant amount of time in prison. Some people sadly can't be fixed. I don't think you can rehabilitate a person who would do this. My deepest condolences to the witnesses. I pray they can forget about this. I know they got PTSD from witnessing this. The most outrageous part is it's all for nothing. Why would you carjack a car only to abandon it a few blocks later? This entire thing is ridiculously senseless. I don't understand why anyone would do anything like this. Sadly some people just have no regard for human life.

Could anyone willing to do something like this be rehabilitated? Carjacking is one thing; it doesn't bother me that much so long as it isn't accompanied by violence. But this was as horrific as can be. It's hard to think how somebody capable of this could be resocialized. There are cases that deserve lethal injection, surely this has to qualify as one of them?
