  3. This is interesting to me... I live in the US, had no knowledge of all this... Weirdly enough I just watched a video of all things about the uh, Obama Shopping Center complex there. I don't even know what to say about that 😂😂 Ftr, I thought he was all that and a tall bag of chips too, like a lot of people here in the US. Ofc, I'm long past that now. I am so curious to hear more about this funny(?) pop cultural phenomenon that is happening over there you're describing. You say there a fascination amongst some Irish citizens w various aspects of American culture? Is this because more and more US multinationals are trying to move into Ireland or for some other reason... If you know??? I didn't know Ireland had any particular interest in what could be thought of as our culture.... That's neat and unexpected, altho I understand why this is not seen as a positive by some. What things or aspects in particular are seen as desirable? I'm just curious to know.

  4. I hope in the next 100 years the relentless multinational globalization that began 500 years ago is finally halted, never to go any further. We need a renewing of this planet from the ground up. Socially, politically, economically, ecologically.

  5. The IMF and World Bank are criminal organizations in my eyes. What they really are is global loan sharks. Fortunately China is showing some nations an alternative. Of course they aren't perfect and I'm sure it's far from altruism, but what I've heard of their policies so far seems mostly positive. Bottom line, they appear to genuinely want to help other nations develop, not exploit. That's a concept unfamiliar to the WB or IMF.
