@thegloryboy3867 I understand the pull of libertarianism, I too want more freedom than is currently guaranteed from our semi-tyrannical US govt, as filtered down thru all levels of government; but it's too simple an approach on its own to fix all our problems. I believe in full civil liberties and greater personal freedoms (this doesn't mean I go full mask-dumb however K?) but economically, laissez-faire systems only make grave poverty worse and that is certainly not what we need or would want. Only a dem-soc or a more concentrated Socialistic economic model will provide for ALL the material needs of a given population. Capitalism alone will never do that- it can only do so for some, but never all. ONLY a sensibly-managed economic socialism model can remove all effective or extreme poverty from the human equation, which is why I hope to see it start to take hold in the US in our lifetimes.
