Who's stopping you from living in exactly the way you want? And why do you think that would change if some brown people moved in to your local area? Can't people of different backgrounds and minor cultural beliefs live side by side peacefully? You may believe in one type of religion and your neighbor another, why is this a problem? Imagine if everyone just minded their own business and didn't mind if some others who lived around them looked a little different, maybe went to a different place of worship. Weird! It's almost like it's okay for people to be different, not to be all the same color, not to believe all the same things in regards to religion- it's almost like diversity is not a threat because maybe we can all treat each other with respect and just live peacefully side by side, giving everyone space to be who they are provided they're not causing harm. Why everyone needs to be outwardly the same for racists and those threatened by superficial diversity I'll never understand. I mean who is stopping them from living as they wish, identifying how they wish, worshiping how they wish and so on? If no one is actively trying to stop them from exhibiting a certain type of identity then what are they worried about? That would be my question.

The extreme fear of the perceived Other is very strong in some people. Yeah it sucks. Nothing wrong with being proud of one's background or having a particular identity but that doesn't mean we should or have to dehumanize those we perceive as being outside our "group". Its too bad that these types of people cant think outside racial hierarchies or in groups and "out" groups.

Racists just dont know how to peacefully coexist (mentally) in one general area with those who appear different from them, even tho by default it's what they do every day, unless they actively go out and commit crimes to members of minority groups, which most dont. (in any given area there will be at least some demographic diversity (....usually)).
