  2. The "commie blocks"?? Ha ha ha. Some weren't too bad. I guess in some ex-ussr states some of them have been updated and redone and look pretty nice now. Oh so I've heard. A little aesthetic enhancement for any building never hurt.

  4. Well the thing is they don't have to look like that, there's a reason they looked like that at the time but they can be built differently now. I was watching viki 1999 and she was talking about how they have updated the old communist apartment blocks where she lives (Vienna I think?) and they look very nice now. So it's up to the local state or federal govt how they choose to build their public housing. They don't have to make them drab. Plus it's not like old buildings can't be given a facelift and modern aesthetic improvements.

  5. Surely 99% of economic strife inside Cuba is caused by the embargo Can't believe that shit is still going on God I hate those people in DC so very... very much. (Said as one who lives here) All they want to do is destroy. So I'm not a religious person, but something tells me the purpose of life is not to hate and destroy each other. Seems a bit pointless if it is. That being said, how many feds and officials deserve a drone strike in DC or Langley right now??? Over 100?? 500??? Something like that.

  8.  @Rowski420  I keep hearing this from people who claim they know people who say this, but I wonder how true it really is. Have they really claimed it was so terrible? Was this before or after 1989? If before, I would be curious to hear specifically what they didn't like and what they felt was bad.
