  1. Unless at some point he actually solves and shows the mystery.. otherwise yes.. it's lazy it's bullshit it's pathetic and it's just a sorry excuse for good writing. Those of us old enough can still very clearly remember the interminable frustration and disappointment that was LOST. Stringing people along forever with no satisfying resolution doesn't work for sex and it sure AF doesn't work for the entertainment I want to see. I think it's weak and forever amateur. It's only good if it's leading to a clear, well thought out satisfying conclusion; otherwise it's just a lot of smoke and mirrors and distraction and substitution for good writing instead of actual good writing. I could take it in small doses but not when it's the crutch that the whole show falls back on. (😒 LOST... Looking at you and anyone like you)

  11. Yeah 100. Those two guys at the helm (forget their names) were mediocre at best and each later season showed it. S5-7 had their moments but like most I just couldn't do S8. Just too much for me. I mean the vfx were always top notch but that's not enough for me. I'm sure it worked for some viewers who just wanted an hour of simple entertainment but it was a hard pass for me.
