In every movie with a driving scene not filmed live, even more recent ones, when they have the faux driving scenery it's just so obvious lol. The older ones are especially wacky tho. You just gotta go along with it and pretend it's all real, lol. I'm sure it was easier for past audiences to suspend disbelief bec visual effects technology wasn't very advanced yet. Of course today we expect everything in film to look 100% real, even if it's a fantasy scene much less a simple road with indicated motion, but past generations didn't have such luxury. But they tried their best. I still love the old school VFX from the late 70s-early 90s, before CGI really took off. They did a lot with a little. Good good times.

*thge I knew it! Man has now transcended mere mortal rules of expression and is leading us to a brave new era of different linguistic rules I'm ready.

Look, there's nothing more realistic than looking at a full frontal head shot, or an internal side view of a driver where they and maybe their car frame takes up the entire frame of the scene and they are perfectly clear and perfectly still, while you watch the road, vehicles and trees move around outside, some of them blurry in the distance, others a little more clear. Nope, nothing more realistic-feeling and immersive than that. Let's hear it for soundstage-filmed driving shots ftw! Lol
