  1. The sad tragedy is, no matter the reason, taking shortcuts in building construction WILL eventually come back to haunt us. It's a law of physics. It make take 40 years but sooner or later, these buildings will fail, the only question is when. Two years ago in Miami a high-rise building failed. It was revealed this was due to unacceptable shortcuts taken and deficits discovered in it's initial construction, coupled with some insufficient maintenance over it's lifetime. There can be no shortcuts to building standards. Every time we take them, we will suffer. It's a tragic lesson we have to learn time and time again apparently.

  4. Let's not forget the victims in Syria right now, where rescue efforts are being hugely hampered by continued cruel and vicious sanctions from Washington. Sanctions kill. All sanctions must be condemned. Sanctions don't harm governments, only it's people.

  6. In the US this gentleman would never even gotten the airtime to even speak, so at least Piers doid that. That's more than any mainstream outlet here in the US will allow. The mainstream media blackout on any voice that's not 100% hate towards Palestine, and not rabidly pro-israel and Zionist is being totally silenced in this country right now. The only voices that are even moderately critical toward Israel are only found on independent media at the moment. Talk about censorship. I'm surprised YT hasn't killed all channels voicing criticism of Israel, I know they just targeted Richard Medhurst forcing him to move to Rumble.

  8. This man is incredibly brave. My respect for him is a thousand fold. I wonder if I could be as brave as him if I were in his shoes, and I don't know if I could. This fellow is like the Edward Snowden of Israel right now but even more so. I'm surprised his government hasn't tried to take him out yet. As someone who's always been an outspoken supporter and defender of Palestinians, their rights to exist and their humanity, my feelings was were never based on any sort of animus towards the general Israeli population. I know most of them are not responsible for the policies of their government or what has happened in the region over the past 75 years. You can't help where you have been born into. However I wish more Israeli citizens could see clearly what is happening around them and not give in to the hate or the prejudice that the Zionist forces have assiduously stoked over these past 75 years. I see the only sustainable way forward as the two-state solution where Israel remains- I don't want to repeat of the max expulsion of 1948- that was wrong then and I feel that would be wrong now, but at a much reduced size with at least 80% of the original land being returned to the indigenous Palestinians, and officially called the Free State of Palestine, recognized on the world stage as it should have been decades ago.

  10. On poiiiiint 150%. There was nothing kind or gentle or empowering or human rights-based about the British empire. It was extractive and pseudo-slavery based and that is all. Of course they weren't the only Western powers to do so but were one of the most successful. How many African tribes, groups, settlements are villages were almost totally wiped out because they had the honor and the courage, and the bravery to resist?? The only thing the old British didn't do was wholesale genocide and slaughter like the Belgians did. So on a scale of shit and evil to even more shit and evil, I'd say compared to the worst maybe they weren't quite as bad but that doesn't mean they were "good". Great interview. These are all simple facts that anyone can learn for themselves. The information is readily available. If one believes in white supremacy and might makes right, then they won't find anything wrong with empire, now or then. If on the other hand you find something fundamentally objectionable and repugnant those world views, if you think everyone has the same inherent rights to exist and prosper and no single person or race or ethnic group is inherently inferior to another, then yes, you will. The global South deserves parity, reparations and empowerment going forward. This world could be constructive place not one human rights genocidal disaster after another. I mean why should the world be constantly a cycle of mass casualty and mass death events? Why can't we just work together for the betterment of all? Time to free and re-establish a new free sovereign Palestine bamn. 🇵🇸🇵🇸
