@avenue8822 yes but nevermind that. I agree the filibuster was used by the Dems as well however, while it's in place they can't get anything done, or next to nothing. If they think purposely doing nothing, or next to nothing, is going to help them in the midterms, either willingly or unwillingly, I'd say they're crazy. It's true the GOP are absolute phylth with an amoral and harmful agenda; but the Dems are completely disabled with the filibuster in place. Better to get rid of the filibuster now, get things DONE, and deal with whatever comes later. If they dont, next to nothing will happen, they will lose wildly in 2022, the GOP will have the majority again, and yes maybe they'll be able to filibuster some things but one way or another the GOP crooks will find a way to pass more disastrous legislation. They always do. Filibustering doesn't always work. Didn't Kevin McCarthy do an 8 hours filibuster on the BBB just recently and then when he was done, the BBB just passed by an expected narrow margin the moment he ctfu???? The Dems have only one year left to get anything worthwhile donr and they've completely neglected to do anything of value so far, (the BIB and BBB are jokes now, BIB from what I hear is worse than nothing and the BBB is just a small fraction of what's needed with all the social programs stripped out); every so-called campaign promise of Biden's was just empty words as most of us knew they would be. It is my view that they are doing far more harm than good to themselves by keeping the filibuster around.

The Dems are a little bit better and they do sometimes do a little bit for the rest of us, you know, a few crumbs here and there, but overall, yes they serve only their donors and the big corps and Wall Street. They almost passed the 3.5T BBB, yet caved completely almost like it was preordained like a house of cards in the wind. Pathethic. Eh that's elite capitalism for you. Sad state of affairs.* *And a banana republic system that runs virtually entirely on legal graft. So there's that. Ofc Congress has almost always been for the elite but they've never been more for sale then now.

@e-spy yes but Franken did nothing wrong. Cleaning out good people is lunacy. The Dems are pathethic in every way possible. And the large majority of Dems still serve big money over the public. Dems are shit. Repubs are just worse shit. Unfortunately there are two Wall Street owned parties where the public's needs rarely if ever matter. Only Progessives and Socialists care about the public at large, and there's only 10-15 of them in Congress rn.
