  1. Everybody in government is a gddm psychopath. Evicting good people is unjust, cruel and pointless. The offender was removed from the home and no longer lives there. The wife even turned him in. WHAT MORE DO THEY WANT??? Removing harmless peaceful people from their home is not going to stop future individuals from choosing to rob stores or commit crimes. If they claim that this family somehow encouraged him to commit the crime, that's outrageous. That is unprovable and clearly untrue in this case. Throwing families out onto the street just because one individual within the household may have committed a crime is wrong. All you are doing is contributing to homelessness. Even if somebody commits a crime they still need a place to live, and their other household members that had nothing to do with their choice certainly don't deserve to be punished. So now if anybody inside your household commits a crime the whole household should be punished for it??? They just assume that you're aiding and abetting if you happen to be living under the same roof together? That is an outrageous and unjustifiable reach. It is completely unjust to assume that. Even if you can prove collusion between family members, charge the relevant family members accordingly but that doesn't give you the right to take their home, thereby affecting other family members that have nothing to do with the incident. Even if all parties are guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt that doesn't mean they should lose their home! A criminal charge alone should in no way result in the loss of housing. Even a conviction shouldn't necessarily result in housing loss, it was the conviction is of a serious violent felony like a sex crime or murder. Most convictions are minor. A person serves their short time and pays their fines and goes on with their life. Nobody should lose their housing over a misdemeanor or even most felonies. And cities have the gall to act like they have no idea why homelessness is going through the roof today. It's the lack of rent control plus policies like this that are causing it! Many people have committed crimes both minor and severe without anybody within their household ever knowing until it came out publicly. Most households never know what certain members are getting up to. They have no prior knowledge if something goes wrong and they should never be held responsible for someone else's adult choice. All forms of collective punishment are wrong and that's what this is and it's totally unjust. I hope this family is safe and better off today but I'm sure this isn't the only town or city where who households have been threatened with eviction just because it came out that one person in the household was charged with an alleged crime.
