@spinninglovelies314 not at all. Set up three different groups, groups A, B, and C. Set them to term out 2-4 years apart from each other. Choose a starting date. Decide how many terms and what length is allowed. Clock starts right away for Group A, two years later for Group B, and four years later for Group C. From that moment on everything's staggered. That's one way to do it.

Not to be a pissy Patty but 99.99% of the federal gov is owned, operated and controlled by the security State and Wall Street so I mean... I really don't see that changing ever in our lifetime. It's their only reason for it's existence. Everything else is just for show. The federal agenda is simple- protect the big corporate dollar by any means necessary, and keep the boot on the neck of the rest of the world (imperialism). At least there are some ballot measures locally and statewide that we can make our voices heard on and speak for ourselves. We just need to expand these further and further until they cover a broader ranger of topics and areas and the state congresses- which are always sold to the highest corporate bidder- have less and less of a role to dominate our lives.

I really don't believe in a SCOTUS... All these worthless corrupt high courts do is find new excuses to take away Labor rights or civil rights or any other kind of rights... It's pretty sad. They serve the police and corporate State. I understand the counter-argument, "well where does the buck stop?", and that's a good question, but I don't trust nine people anywhere who don't even recognize the most basic rights as rights such as bodily ownership (this goes just as much for drugs as abortion), the rights to determine where our own goddamn money goes (taxes), or Labor rights. Their views could not be more categorically opposed to mine, which is as much true on the state level as the federal.

Great points Leeta but I'm just more and more soured on all of it the older I get. Lol the entire Federal apparatus is a murderous joke. I'm so past it now. State congress's are about 99.6% corporate dictated... Hmm... Not much good for the average person there..... Let's see..... is it any better at the municipal level? Not much.... A little.... But not much... They do do some useful things but as usual they will stiff the public schools, stiff local infrastructure, give everything to the uniformed Ferals, gentrify for rich developers and do nothing to control the cost of rent... have I covered everything?? That's definitely their MO 100% of the time. I would certainly support reasonable term limits and hard age limits, but how can we actually champion left and communist and Labor causes at any level is my question??? They were mass murdering Black social activists as late as 1985 in Philadelphia so hmmm..... That's always nice. Not like a bunch of organized predators masquerading as your "government". I'm a member of my local PSL and I have maximum respect for what they do; their efforts are always extraordinary, I do wish however we could come in off the margins ..... It's sad that at a minimum we can't at least have a vibrant multi-party system in this wackjob second-world nation. One wonders when or if this will change.
