  11. Free and low-cost/affordable child care and Pre-K should be the national standard. It was once before and it never should have been taken away. But even if it never was, that doesn't mean it shouldn't be now. The priorities of where federal and most state funding goes in this country is extremely sad for anyone who has a conscience and a sense of social responsibility. There's always infinite money for oppression, locking people up for bullshit, and waging death aroaund the world, also massive handouts to Wall Street, aka the wealthiest companies and the various robber barons who are always holding us over a barrel, but there's never much for the little guy- isn't that funny?? Either people matter or they don't. So do they???? Do we???? Of course we do, but duopoly politicians say no, so where does that leave us? As always, help for the common person and the working class is rarely if ever going to come from these red-blue vampire bats, so we need new actual Left political parties and other options. There are two ways to pay for basic services for the general public; increased federal funding, which doesn't rely on taxes but Congressional appropriation (Washington DC prints and creates it's own money, that's where all the money comes from), or increases in state or local funding, which DOES rely on taxes. So where should we place these taxes? On the poor? On the middle class? Or on big business and the rich- where they belong? Well I think the answer is clear. Bottom line, unless we can get our Congressional scumbags to set aside more funding for social needs, we HAVE to get it from our counties and states- unfortunately, they don't care about us either. If they did, they would tax at the top and redistribute this money downwards as needed. So we have some choices, either we can elect better people who will care about us not just big business (which we do need to do), OR we can push for public ballot measures which call for better social services, including affordable & free childcare. These are our options; not just on this issue but on every political issue. To recap, our options for any political change are- 1) get better people elected from the Left (duopoly serves Wall Street/big $$$ and no one else, so we need something else) 2) use ballot measures to push our constructive agenda 3) use the courts- sometimes lawsuits can be helpful
