Please go all the way to communitarian, left libertarian or communist. It doesn't mean you're against business it just means you're against business being lawless basically. Other than that though I fully agree with you. My evolution has been exactly the same! I started out somewhat apolitical then little by little, and then a lot at a time, I became far left because I realized it's the only just view. Everything else is just either tacitly accepting exploitation or actively condoning it. As I refuse to accept that then I'm going to be out here on the Left then, and that's fine by me.

@Plethorality I don't know if he's done anything patently illegal but I agree with you he's a real piece of work. Clearly the upper managers at his plants don't care about maintaining an ethical and respectful workplace for their employees.

My heart goes out to this poor woman she shouldn't have had gone through any of this. No job is worth being mistreated either by management or any co-workers. I'll starve first!!! Shame on Rivian and I hope there's a big class action lawsuit against them very soon!

I'm still watching the video so I don't know if this will be covered and if so I'll edit at that point, but I truly hope she and others who have gone through similar experiences sue Rivian for millions. This is outrageous and shameful!

@Svid1701D well look I can't see into your inner mind but you know what people say about managers- you're all abusive cold-hearted assholes or jerks who who do no real work and would be lost if they actually had to work for a day in their life. I don't want to generalize because there are exceptions to everything, but it's interesting that your first instinct was to denigrate her instead of trying to understand her and empathize with what she's talking about. She's clearly upset which means she must have been through something. It would be quite a leap of belief to assume she just decided to be distraught for no reason. Also some people are just more sensitive than others by nature but that doesn't negate her experiences. Clearly empathy, people skills, EI (emotional intelligence) and understanding is not your strong point. Not saying you're a bad person you might be perfectly fine, but you might wish to consider trying to be more empathetic sometime.

@lawrence1960 no I understand. Things like this aren't easy to hear. Unfortunately there's a lot of trash people out there who don't care about right and wrong. If a place has bad management they feel empowered to engage in their abusive behavior. It's a real problem. Hopefully she can get some legal help and sue for a hostile work environment, wrongful termination, and withheld benefits. Also safety violations for intentionally blocking a fire exit.

Like other people's loss or pain is all a justified sacrifice to the altar of the great wealth of the few at the top (and/or the big shareholders) because.... Somehow it will all benefit society eventually? Even tho they can't say how and that's rarely true other than increased consumption from those with large incomes, which almost never benefits wider society anyways .... Besides - It's the masses role to serve the elite right? We're all just put here to serve THEM... We are their property, yes?? we're all just glorified slaves to their agenda, any form of agency or control of our own existence is definitely not part of the divine plan.... People with rush to say they don't believe this and yet their arguments and their knee-jerk reactions to certain statements or current events say otherwise... I mean look how people have meltdowns over the term 'communist' which just means to put the COMMUNAL good over elite wants or needs.... And obviously there are various ways to achieve this but that is simply the principle - the common good, that is all (literally the first words of the declaration of Independence even, whether or not those documents helped achieve that of course is a debatable issue but, they were there)... That all sounds pretty positive to me and yet look how that one word been demonized and our ridiculous Western political culture leading to various witch hunts and even justifying wars ... madness.

That EVERY job deserves a quality wage??? That doesn't mean every job pays the same I'm not suggesting that - more complex jobs or those that require more education should pay more that's only fair, but don't you think that every job deserves a quality wage???? After all, if somebody is working, that means they can't spend their time doing something else. If they're making shit money how are they supposed to support themselves??? Well the correct answer is yes, yes it does. All jobs should pay well enough to make a fair living on. This really isn't that hard to do don't believe the lies.

Please stay strong people. Demons are everywhere. Don't let them keep you down. No matter what happens, always get back up from what they try to do to you. Evil likes think it can destroy the good, but it can only harm it in the short term. Evil can NEVER be stronger in the long term than that which is fundamentally good, and that's why they hate us and anyone else that represents something that is fundamentally decent. Evil can only beat us if we let it. They need to be sued for millions. Wrongful termination, criminal theft of pay and benefits, etc. A class action lawsuit would be even better.
