Government in this country only cares about the top 2% and big business/ Wall Street. They'll get bailed out to the tune of billions just for asking. In fact they won't even have to ask. But if you're an average person and you ask for help "wow you must be lazy you're a piece of trash why don't you go back to work oh wait you can't work because of disaster outside your control? A likely story!" When will people understand that it's a two-party effort to keep their back permanently turned on the bottom 80% in this country? Whether it's a disaster or normal job loss,v there's nothing for anyone here who needs help unless you're in the tiny elite class that can own a politician through your financial contributions. Notice how during covid they couldn't get the money out the door fast enough for the big corporate heads who claimed they had suffered financial losses, but it took them over 9 months to give the American people literally two installments of crumbs. We were The shame of the developed world. Literally every other country provided much more ongoing monthly support to its citizens during covid than we did. it's sad but it is absolutely a fact that politicians in this country don't exist for us and the moment you need something unless it's a program that was passed under FDR or one of the few that happened under Johnson there is nothing for you. These people today and it's been this way for decades, they are shameless they do not care if we live or die. They only care about continuing to fatten the pockets of the already outrageously wealthy 2%.
