@billywillhite7682 I mean government is nothing but one group of people ruling over the rest. I think some government is necessary, because some public management and organization is needed, but like anything in life, can easily go too far one way or another. I don't know if this conflict will ever be fully overcome. People value different things and with millions of people in one so-called country there's always going to be many differences of opinion. It seems that human conflict regarding whatever group we turn to for "governance"will always exist in one form or another. I'm not sure if it's anything that can be evolved past, although that would be nice if it could.

Well you're welcome to look at the bright side but it's still bogus. Lol

Yeah this is pretty much true. It seems like it's a never-ending challenge to govern for the good of the large majority of people out here. hopefully there's an ideal way that we can eventually find. I mean I'm certainly not in favor of a soft dictatorship or a hard one, and yet our so-called democracy is mostly an oligopoly right now. The struggle for ethical governance for all continues.

@mikewardrop5962 yeah mostly true. even in local city and township governance, while they might do some positive things they definitely do all kinds of shady nonsense behind the scenes or even in front of them. At least here in this country the big money always pulls the strings. always.

@WokeSlapper actually that's not necessarily true but it starts with getting educated and becoming more aware and then organizing, possibly trying to form outsider political parties and trying to challenge the system. Even if we fail, at least we tried.

Everything in life is subjective and arbitrary. But we do our best. Hopefully society continues to evolve towards a more ideal society.

Yeah, I'll say I partially agree.

Are you getting my replies? Your username makes it look like I'm replying to OP.

News flash, you and I are the masses. I mean everyone talks about the masses like it's someone else. Newsflash- the masses are us. You still think that we're challenged? I think I'm plenty smart enough to know everything I need to know. I agree the average person isn't a genius (but neither are we, but that doesn't mean I don't think we're more than smart enough) and is busy, and mostly due to time limitations has a limit to what they can grasp at a super deep level, but but I like to think that's mostly due to time and not inclination or ability. Also, there's no evidence that IQs are dropping across the board. That's your opinion, but really where is your source? Definitely people deserve access to all relevant information so they can make the best most informed decision at any given time.

@kaoskronostyche9939 in my opinion there are no perfect systems, each system has its pluses and minuses. Right now I favor a small as possible government that maximizes personal choice and freedom up to the limit where your choice causes an unacceptable level of harm to another non-consenting person or animal (ie, animal abuse). And on economics I put people and our environment first. Business is fine - even great- so long as people, Labor, and considerations of environmental impact always come FIRST, and that's antithetical to today's megacorporation-controlled imperialist world. And oh yeah imperialism is wrong. No nation has the right to forcefully aggress onto another nation or group for the purposes of resource theft, nor to take its resources without consent or adequate compensation (key word being adequate).

IQ tests have been proven pretty much bogus. You might not be an idiot but you're not a genius. Very few people are so-called geniuses. Mob rule- What a stupid term. News flash bub- we are all the mob! What a bullshit term. Literally everybody alive today thinks everybody else is an idiot. So who's right? I'm sure you know the answer so please- share.

So what you're trying to say is the majority is tyranny but rule by minority, no matter how small, is not??? I think you need to learn how to think. There is no such thing as "tyranny of the masses". For the most part, although I'm willing to hear arguments on exceptions, what the majority wants is the right thing. How do we decide which tiny slice of minority is more worthy than everyone else? Your thinking sucks. You want elitism and soft monarchism. Screw that.
