You know how I know the goals of our bogus and bloodthirsty US Military-Corporate-Industrial complex aren't ethical or moral in the slightest??
Well let's see. We literally could kick the entire world's ass many times over, but can't seem to route and eliminate some derkahderkah lunatics and savages (Taleebahn- who do actually deserve the bunker buster salute, IMO) in the afgan mountains after TWENTY fucking years.
Now, something about both sides of that equation don't fucking add up. I guess actually accomplishing the mission after 3 months as we could have if we were actually trying, wouldn't be as exciting for the Pentagon war room, and it certainly wouldn't pay all their sponsors (defense industry) nearly as well. So keeping an unnecessary engagement going for 19 years longer than necessary regardless of the cost to human life on either side is preferable to them.
Twenty years ago when I first enlisted, I had no idea as to the true nature or motivating forces behind US expansion and our MIC (just money, that's all. Money and resource stealing. So honorable, huh?). Now, even though it took me a while to catch on, I'm happy to say at least I do now; and as usual, one finds the lifelong knee-deep MSM propaganda never quite lines up with the truth regarding "US goals and methods abroad".

@goldenmemes51 No I don't think so- I don't think China gives any craps about world domination, or Russia either. I think they care more about regional power, which to me, seems like they already have. I definitely do not agree with all of China or Russia's actions, but I don't see them nurturing any goals for worldwide power. Again, maybe that's wrong and I don't claim to be an expert (yet) but I don't think so.
I'm not saying we have to totally vacate all bases and 100% shut down the entire military apparatus we have, but based on all the information I have gathered and continue to seek out, I do not agree with this constant expansion of our military and the goals of the Pentagon which is clearly world domination. I'm not privy to classified information, but I'm willing to bet that 90-95% of our overseas bases aren't really necessary. I'm not saying we should never be prepared to use military force as a last resort IF legitimately necessary, but I believe this crazy world-wide empire that we, the US, is maintaining now is ONLY about producing profits for the defense industry and/or advancing major corporate interests, and NOT in fact having anything to do with actually "keeping us safe". It seems to me that all these never-ending overseas aggressions are actually making us less safe in the long run.
But I don't know everything. Im learning more every day on the topic and if I hear or see anything that significantly changes my current outlook I'll say so. But this is where I stand now.
I've watched a lot of documentaries and read some excellent written pieces that have helped me come to this point in my mindset. If you're interested, "Free Speech TV" is a streaming app and a website that carries a lot of programs critical of US foreign policy since WWII and on other Progessive political subjects.
