  2. Thanks for the video, Johnny. Sanctions are always a terrible idea, but they are a great excuse to economically and materially harm a country's entire population, in some cases severely and homicidally (such the sanctions the US placed on Iraq since 1991), when a Western govt wants to. And they never work. The populace may suffer but that doesn't turn them into ninja commandos who they go on to physically overthrow their current govt- as supposedly the US claims will happen. Even if such a population wanted to do this, it's almost always impossible. Seats of govt have the tendency to be protected by various groups like the military and police. So unless a population is backed up by that country's military, a direct physical violent overthrow is all but impossible. Yet this is what the savages who run the govt here in the US claim will happen with each new round of sanctions they initiate. They must know it's s totally garbage and irrational claim- and I think they do, they just want to harm another nations economy. I mean Cuba is a nation of only 11M people today, under a 60 year embargo for ACTUALLY overthrowing their previous govt and choosing a new one, except not the guy the US wanted, so they placed the embargo. Gotta give it to these thugs for consistency. Sixty years later and gee let's see, is Cuba any closer to magically changing their govt to align with US imperial interests??? Nah, can't say they are..... Most are prouder than ever of the revolution and the small island nation they've been able to build against all odds, even when things really became difficult since the old USSR wasn't able to be it's prime trade supporter since 1991. The sanctions may have made life more difficult in some ways for Cubans, but it's only strengthened their resolve. Hmmm, yes very effective, clearly achieved what it was set out to achieve. Maybe another 60 years will get the job done. I don't know, maybe another decade. I mean it's only been 60 full years, how can you judge the success or failure of her measure it's such a short time period??? I'm totally against sanctions for any reason anywhere now due to the fact that they only cause harm to a general population, never the leadership. It is risable to think that they will EVER spark some kind of general revolution and even if they do, that that will occur in the direction that the US wants. Most people in other countries aren't stupid, if they're experiencing difficulty to due the sanctions they aren't idiots, they know where those sanctions are coming from. They usually won't blame their own govt but the source of those sanctions. So no, sanctions are just an excuse to cause collective harm to large swaths of innocent people that have no control whatsoever over what their government chooses to do or not do. It's just another tool for the US and it's echo States to try to dominate the globe in a harmful manner. I believe they are not justified, ever, and in the most serious cases they do kill, such as the 500K estimated deaths of children in Iraq due to those sanctions. Sanctions are just war on civilians without bullets; an evil act to purposely cause millions of innocent and powerless people to suffer. I must hand it to Russia tho. With their vast land mass, they are simply learning to be more self-sufficient and resourceful than ever. Any sanctions will simply increase this resolve and will only have a limited effect at best.
