@NewOrleansSeptember I think so. Think about it. Home-based business has the lowest barrier to entry so this opens up opportunities for anyone who wishes to start a small business. Local and state authorities should be making it easier for people to start businesses, if that is what they wish, not harder. But when they're in the pocket of the big money that's not what they want to do.
All red-blue politicians are puppets owned by the big money, this is why the economic reality is getting progressively harder for I would say, mmm, the lower 2/3 of our population roughly.
Bottom line, when the elites at/near the top want it all they're not going to make it easy for others to get ahead and have a right to what they've earned- these people can control the politicians and feel entitled to want and take everything.
If you vote Republican or Democrat you are contributing to this cuz any red or blue politician serves that agenda and that class. Prove me wrong if you can, but I don't believe you can. History shows otherwise. The middle class, and much more so the working class and the poor, have always been under attack in this country. By ensuring roughly 2/3 of the country stays pretty poor or limited most of the time all of the excess wealth created can flow to the top. It's simple math really.
The answer is to become radicalized and realize that this is not fair and should be amended, then to seek outside answers through trying to get outside Left parties into office.... Also, organizing for better ballot measures can help. I think voting directly on our own measures is the best way forward. I really don't need or want anyone else to speak for me; nobody else can represent me better than I can represent myself, I mean that's pretty obvious. After all, none of our current reps give an F for us regardless of what they say so.... My hope is to increase the ballot measure process and access over time while gradually decreasing the power of elected politicians who again- work for, are financed by, are bought by, and are very happy to serve the elite business interests in their jurisdiction. (As I said, if they are red or blue, this is true)
A lot of this starts on the local level. Local ordinances, demanded by the local elite and enforced through the local bought-and-paid-for city council, can affect many.
Until people start putting working class and middle class interests FIRST and start becoming unabashed leftists this shit ain't going to change. You can serve elite big money interests at the expense of yourself, or you can serve yourself (poor/working/middle class). It's up to everyone who votes to choose.
