  17.  @-SP.   federal subsidies to large industries in general should be stopped. Let's call it what they are, SCAMS. Corporate welfare. Throwing hardworking ordinary taxpayers' money at rich industries who certainly don't need them or deserve them. No "handouts" for the vast social needs that we have. No funding for a green new deal and aggressive climate and food solutions. No- just handouts to the entities who need them least. But that's bec these politicians are literally paid long before to do just that. The bribes and graft come in from all over corporate America, bec Big Ag (big anything) knows that money will be paid back to them handsomely many times over in literal handouts and favorable policy and even in more serious cases of persecution via federal agents against individuals/smaller operators they want to shit on. It's gross but common. That's what buying yourself congresspeople will do. Until this system of limitless graft-handouts-repeat is made illegal, or better people get elected (*snicker* right) both parties will readily serve Big Ag, Big Pharma, Big Everything no matter how unsustainable or destructive they are. It's sad that all Big Anything and 99% of Congress ever cares about is the money, and they could care less about the long-term or even short-term effects of what they do. These kinds of criminal irresponsibility and negligence have caused all the environmental destruction we currently face, and have set the stage for climate change on the world stage. I don't know what it's going to take to turn things around bec most politicians aren't doing shit. They are there to take bribes to give whoever's paying them what they want- period, which only fattens the pockets of those at the top and doesn't help anyone else.
