  1. Whatever the specific details are on the issue of full independence for Taiwan, that's between China and Taiwan and it's 100% not my government's business one way or the other. I regret the actions people in my government are taking here, which are deliberately disrespectful, unnecessary and provocational. If Taiwan wants full independence or if it doesn't, that's between it and Beijing. It's an internal matter and it always surprises me when I hear references to Taiwan on our news, as if this was somehow the world's most pressing issue and something that we had a divine right to rule on. Where the HELL does our government get off intentionally inserting itself in a completely domestic affair of a foreign nation? Of course it does that all the time and so many people are brainwashed here they just accept it as if "oh yes of COURSE we have this right, we're the United States- we have the right to own the globe and control every other nation and everyone on it!" And no ofc I don't accept that even though I happen to live here. There ARE some times to intervene abroad, but this isn't one of them! There's a difference between respecting another nation's sovereignty and right to self-determination and being isolationist. This is most certainly an internal matter and we simply have no right to be involved! We shouldn't be intentionally provoking ANY nation let alone the two other most well-defended nations at the moment, China and Russia. But I guess the US State Dept won't stop until they've provoked WW3 and there's nukes everywhere. I guess that's really what they want. Madness.
