  1. You are clueless and you are spreading misinformation. Linux has less users and is thus a less interesting target, valid point. The rest is utter nonsense. "Windows software is downloaded from random websites". Right, as opposed to Linux software which is of course downloaded from very specific websites. "Being open source makes it more secure". No it doesn't, it just makes it easier to fork something, slip in your virus and redistribute it. Furthermore you have got to know what you're looking for and contributors are focused on their own part, the whole community scrutinizing everybody else's contribution on every code path is a myth. Windows file security is more fine grained than Linux's which does not necessarily make it better in day-to-day use but what you say about it is just wrong.
