You don't see the logic? There's logic alright. It's quicker and cheaper to put a modern car together (in the one particular order, not ever designed or meant to be taken apart again). This is good for the profit margin straight off the bat. Then when anything fails, the only one who can help you is the official dealership who basically has a monopoly over you and charges accordingly. The manufacturer makes a ton of money on the part only he can deliver. Everybody in the chain exept for the sucker at the very end is happy. If you don't like it, have your gongress rep push for right-to-repair legislation. Most of them won't because they are owned by these very same manufacturers, and not just car manufacturers. Donors are public in your country however, it should be fairly easy to find who your potential friends are.
