  1. I welcome this speech but there is something profoundly wrong with it: a weird colonial overreach in stating that Hamas must go and a new Palestinian representation is needed. That is just silly, particularly because I do not hear him call for Israeli regime change. It is of course not up to Americans to choose a Palestinian representation. Mind this whole debacle was created by westerners choosing a "representation" for all people in that area and later by not recognizing Hamas after it was elected to represent the Palestinian people. Hamas will have to do for now because there is no alternative. Any other imposed puppet government will only be insult to injury for the Palestinian population.
