  1. The roller demo was enlightening. The cart on the treadmill does not prove a thing. That is no different from powering the propeller with an engine mounted in the mill. You are using the power of the treadmill to drive the propeller, pumping kinetic energy in it. When you release it, it will move for a while but soon lose that kinetic energy and come to a relative standstill (just move with the band).
