  1. I don't see this as a ticking time bomb. It will just fade away. Like the typical graph of any crypto whatever that peeks early on a marketing wave and then just dies out slowly as people start to realize there is nothing in it for them. Eventually scammers will realize the term blockchain is no longer appealing and they will move on to new endeavors unrelated to crypto currencies. Until recently is was all smart, promising and futuristic. Because of developments we are increasingly seeing it being associated with scams, stupidity and losses. That will do it.

  2. That is basically true, value is belief or using a more economical term: credit. Credit is not fixed though. Eventually people will expect and demand returns. When it appears there is nothing there for them, belief will drop significantly.
