  1. That sounds like it makes sense but then again, does he still have conscripts now that he is mobilizing? Wasn't the whole point of mobilization to make up for the lack of conscripted soldiers?

  2. What has Snowden got to do with this? He just prefers a relatively normal life in Russia over a US prison cell.

  3.  @onceuponadime978  I looked up the meaning of conscripted and misinterpreted it as a professional soldier, as opposed to civilians who were once drafted to get some training and moved on to live a civilian life. That got me confused. So he is running out of professional soldiers that can be "legally" deployed and is now rounding up civilians to defend the new "home land".
