If your mother sold you and you later objected to the abuse you experienced from your buyer, would it make much sense if people would say "Shut up, it was your own flesh and blood that closed the deal, it was all legit and you now know how to please a man, don't you? So there." Or say, those pesky democrats rise to power and they round up all republican voters and sell them to China and you get to work in a coal mine or some more poisonous environment to earn food that barely keeps you alive. Would it be alright because, from a Chinese perspective, you were sold by your own people?
