  1. Most republican voters are just stupid. Not into politics really, they just picked a team and stuck with it, like supporters in sports do. You can tell by the way republican politicians behave, they hardly ever talk policy, it's all "the other side is <whatever sounds bad>". Their voters dig that, talking policy would wear them out instantly so it doesn't happen. They just want their team to win so they themselves can feel like winners too. That's it, religious sports fans basically.
