@yongamanodali4533 They do this because at the heart of it all, they know Du Plessis is the one that caused it so they try to clutch at everything Izzy does to gain some type of moral advantage.

He only made you Whittaker glazers eat your words. Everybody with a functioning brain knew this would be quite a close fight. If Whittaker doesn't get a decision as he always does, he gets finished.

@markbensley138 Everything I've said is factual. It's evidently you making things up just as you did by saying Israel wasn't born in Africa, even though he was born in Nigeria. Stop lying to yourself. Dricus Du Plessis literally said in a press conference "I'M the African fighter in the UFC, me and Cameron (Saaiman)." Just by that statement alone, he implied that Israel, Francis and Kamaru aren't Africans despite the fact they were all born and raised. Also are ethnically, culturally, ancestrally African unlike your boy that is a descendant of French-Huguenots from France.

@thesultanofveracity9943 Dricus grew up in an upper middle class family in middle class Pretoria, Gauteng. He didn't grow up around any violence as somebody who would in the townships. He's more privileged than Israel. Do you even understand the history of South Africa and apartheid?

@michaelknat8654 Europe is not only for Europeans but when you say that to them, they go berserk.

@nikolaj97 Truth is bitter, I know.

@canismajoris6733 Du Plessis has a high finish rate and fought a man that hasn't finished a single fight in six years. I don't think this outcome was far fetched.

@Irridosiclitis Nobody discredited Whittaker you tool. Everyone with a brain knows he's a fantastic fighter but he has a tendency to get dropped and given that Du Plessis has an incredibly high finish rate, it's not exactly surprising that this was the outcome. My only surprise is that he got finished so early in the fight.

@ps9501 I don't gamble. It's a stupid vice.
1
@ps9501 What did I say that was a lie? That a man with a high finish rate could potentially finish another that's recognised for being a points/decision fighter? Lmfao get out of your feelings bud
1
@ps9501 I never once said in any of my previous comments that I predicted he would win you little emotional wreck. Work on your reading comprehension. I said that going by their fight stats and tendencies, it was always going to be a close fight and that somebody with a high finishing rate finishing a guy who's a recognised points fighter isn't far fetched. Everybody has a puncher's chance at the end of the day.

It's always comical to me when white MMA fans call other people racist as if you folk haven't spent the last decade hating on nearly every single successful black fighter and champion.
1
@WJACOTT "Being white in SA is not a privilege." LOOOOOL. Did you really just utter such stupidity?

@RikiLouw69 What bothered Israel wasn't the fact Du Plessis lives in Africa, it's the fact that he attempted to diminish his, Kamaru and Francis' achievements in the UFC. If Du Plessis had shown respect to the fighters that came before him and simply stated his intent to be the first African champion residing in Africa, nobody would care. This guy literally said in a press conference "I'M the African fighter in the UFC, me and Cameron (Saaiman)." Just by that statement alone, he implied that Israel, Francis and Kamaru aren't Africans despite the fact they were all born and raised. Also are ethnically, culturally, ancestrally African unlike your boy that is a descendant of French-Huguenots from France. You know that fully well but you prefer to be disingenuous and avoid the main reason why this happened.

@fightsportspace7327 What's funny is that whites will be the first people to accuse others of "pulling the race card" and "crying about words" but as soon as you say anything that offends them, they become the softest people you could ever meet. Brag about thick skin when they're the most fragile people going.
1
@scotty90 Leon Edwards never tried to diminish Michael Bisping's identity or achievements like how Du Plessis did with three African champions that came before him. Use the few brain cells you have and see that there's a clear reason why this played out the way he did, especially given the historical context of whites in Africa.
1
@Wshilighlights Being African isn't just about your place of residence. It's about your ethnicity, culture, ancestry and heritage. Going by your brainless logic, I suppose every African, Asian and European living outside their respective continent can no longer lay claim to their true identity?
1
@Nooobody85 A black man from Africa wouldn't say something like that first and foremost. Secondly, even if he said he wants to be the first African from residing in the continent to win a belt, he would still show respect to those that came before him. That's the difference.
1
@jidec3165 I guarantee you that they will not give you a simple response to that logical point.
1
@RikiLouw69 Perhaps take the bias and ignorance away for one moment and actually comprehend what you read you mugu. Nobody gaves af about this guy until he made the divisive comments he did. Nobody questioned his African identity until he needlessly tried to diminish three other Africans that came before him unprovoked. He brought this on himself at least own it ffs instead of trying to make him seem like the victim. I would have more respect for him if he actually stuck by what he said despite it being negative instead of now playing the victim.
1
@dirtycaveman1454 What a foolish comment. If he was racist, why would he have defended Joe Rogan when people wanted to cancel him? Why not talk about the fact that Du Plessis caused all this problem unnecessarily instead of trying to victimise him.
1
@viktorcheng2061 You do realise Israel is a dual citizen? He also possesses a Nigerian passport.
