But more central banks around the world are buying gold and ditch dollars. the world seems to reverse what Nixon did, and since the supply is going up because the central bank ditches the dollar, its power will be less.

  20.  @anthonyk423  so many facts unrevealed make me think if my decades old mba degree were still relevant in current world. One thing for sure is the immutable law of supply and demand will always be relevant regardless what factors influence it. Some folks ditch the dollar, some others short their yuan, but I prefer to follow those who run central banks to go for security by keeping gold, not because they are smart but because they are informed. Dollar, yuan or local currency are good for transactions. But not a medium to store the value. Thus, you are correct that the dollar will not go anywhere for a while, but just its power declined over time.
