IMHO, the major faults of every *ism whose deny God, is that they are asking the wrong question of "(5w1h) is God".
The correct question of any human should be "(5w1h) human to be accepted by God".
(5w1h) = What, When, Where, Who, Why and How.
The correct question can only be found in Faith, on which implemented in the form of Religion.
Long time ago, thunder strike down and destroy the enemies, so we worship thunder as God.
Then, we thought that our will can make our own happiness, so we worship our will (communism),
Then, we thought that our intelligence can give us a happiness, so we worship our intelligence (technologism),
Then, we see the destruction of our world and thought that only nature can give us a happiness, so we worship mother nature (environmentalism),.. etc..etc..
They all forgot to ask the question : (5w1h) human to be accepted by God.
In My Humble Opinion, they want to HAVE all God benefit, but don't want to BE what God required them so. So they keep changing their ism and worship it as God. They never seek inside to their inner faith for being. Always look outside of their effort for having.
Once a person seek inside their inner faith for being, they will quickly asking what to be. At this phase, the religion kicks in. I believe that in every religion that acknowledge God, they have a list or sign the quality of God. Follow those qualities and we will increasingly become people who are blessed by God. The rest of guidance in the religion is a method to help us follows that qualities.

Man.. you are 22 now, but so much more critical in thinking than many of my Gen X generation.
When I was 17, still in high school in the 1990s, the Soviet Union had just collapsed and the Berlin Wall just fell. Our teacher asked students whether the world would be more peaceful or more violent. The whole class answered it would be more peaceful except for one, me. The whole class looked at me like I was a criminal. Eventually the world proved to be more violent with the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan and others.
Unlike most of my high school friends, I read a lot of literature, just like you, so I can draw my own conclusions. Whether my conclusions are right or wrong doesn't matter. The point is, I say what I think about my view of the world. I say this with confidence, supported by valid historical data obtained from the literature I read.
But, comparing myself at 17 against you, you really are much more than me. I salute you, son! I really salute you!. The world needs more young men like you. You are like a candle in the dark that convinces me that logic and reason have not completely disappeared from the minds of the younger generation.
Keep up the good work. Say what you think, no matter if it's popular or not. 👍
