A bit different story here. 28 years ago I also gamers. Got my MBA and ended up married and making my own company. One thing in common is we both don't do anything for this society. Not buying any more property even though have money, just the place where I lived since it's cheaper than rent in the long run. Asset saved in gold and crypto instead of papers, make it portable to go overseas. Involved nothing on the neighborhood.

Career, family, property, that's all irrelevant for men's happiness today. I do have some of those things, but treat it as portable. I consider life here like a Hotel America. Ready to move anytime, not involved and locked in any society, saved asset in a portable form like gold and crypto.

@closeenough1343 True. There is no career anymore, let alone on administrative fields in the rise of AI. Career is a concept of big enterprise organization do everything on their own. Today, most of those big enterprise are act like a coordinator and outsourced everything to the smaller companies. I set up my own company in IT, and taking many of big companies order for their customers. Guarded position achieved through my personal branding viewed as an experts in my fields.

@Drake-d2d If it is good for you, then it is good for you no matter what society says. Regarding wn, I think good one is rarer than unicorn today. I told my twin sons to go abroad pursuing their master's, work and start a family there. I don't want modern wn as my daughter in law, let alone as a mother of my grandchildren.
