I'm a man. I hate to hear that my kids love their mom (my wife) more than me. But they respect me more than their mom. It is how nature works. Each of us have our own roles in this world.

@TTKDMS I'm sorry to hear your story. In any species, female instinct were to care and protect their offspring. Only human are different because we are gifted by a mind, not just instinct. I'd think that her mind does not tally with their instinct and that'll lead her to misery.

I am 47. This is how I grow up. In my 10's and 20's, we - the boys - always mocking other boys whose put their effort on girls as "as nothing else to do". I ended up marrying one in late 20's in chastity both me and her. still married.

@Trapster99 Well done!. Man are Hunter and Woman are Gatherer. Imagine, a hunter in pre-historic era, may have days, weeks or even months in the jungle to have mammoths as their prey. They learned and improve their skill by learning from other man. They are not staying in the village, flirting with Woman. Woman in other hand, gathers food from the field around them but that might not enough to keep the nutrition. They are waiting for those Man going home for the meat. The best man who keep bringing the largest share of meat will be able to choose the best women he wants. Women will flirt to this best man as he bring the most resources. So, Women's Hypergamy is real and inside their DNA, as a response to Man's achievement is real and inside our DNA. But Hunter that hunts for weeks or months, is going home for giving their resources to their women and kids, and to spent time with them before the next hunting season begin. They just want to spend their time. They don't want a drama because Hunting is full of real scary things that way much more intense than drama. They just tired of it.
