  1. Travelling in Thailand is easy. The Thai know what tourists want and most Thai working in the tourist industry do speak English. Thailand attracts so many tourists. It has a great infrastructure for tourism. And that is also the biggest downside of Thailand, there are tourists really everywhere. Okay, that is not completely true, you can escape your fellow tourists but it is not that easy, it takes some 'work'. But I have visited many countries, the language barrier does exist but I always get where I want to get. I have had moments of frustration in for example China but in the end it always works out. And finding your way around is part of the fun. What is important is reading about the common scams in Thailand. You certainly can travel by yourself and you will meet plenty of others who do the same. You need of course a guide if you want to do a jungle trekking.
