It has become much better because: -Lots of people want to live and work in Amsterdam. -Some blocks have been taken down and replaced by houses or medium sized flats for the middle class. -The government has invested a lot of money in this area -People who have transitioned from lower income to middle class had to leave in the past, now they can stay because of more housing options. -Unemployment is really low in The Netherlands. -The area is well connected to the inner city, the central business district and the airport. -New companies have come and invested, for example Ikea, Decathlon and Hampton hotels. Buying a house in this area has become expensive.
