  1. I think you need to reword that. Almost all Kimchi comes from Northern China, the birth place of Napa cabbage. China has been the main exporter of Kimchi since forever. The conditions and scale of production can't be replicated in mountainous areas of Korea.

  2.  @Magellan-w5i  the main ingredient is not from Korea but China. Napa cabbage aka Chinese Cabbage or Bakchoy in Occidental countries originated from Northern China. It was later gifted to Koreans. Kimchi in the past were also made with radishes and but modern kimchi is refrigerated and made with Chinese cabbage.
