  24. Some people will say that S.Korea particularly Seoul looks more modern than perhaps say Osaka. Even though the infrastructure is similiar. This is due to late modernization and gentrification of S.Korea. Japan modernized earlier so many buildings will appear more dated/older. Eg older subways and buildings in Europe compared to modern sky scrapers in China. It's not indicative of a country's well being or quality of life.

  30. Most of my Japanese friends say Koreans are like "country bumpkins" compared to civilized Japanese. I agree from experience. They are rude, loud, love to bargain for discounts, are more aggressive and talk with no filter or political correctness. They are only marginally more sophisticated than Chinese.
