  5. I noticed in Mainland China, police are called "公安" (public security) while in Hong Kong, Taiwan they are called "警察" (literally means police). The reason for this is China's 公安 can arrest any individual and brutally shut down a lawful protest under the guise of 'public security.' The term itself is broad/vague and up to the interpretation of the CCP.
