  1. I think you shouldn't be miscarried by one vid to surmise the stance of Chinese citizens towards the invasion. Here in the comments there are still some level headed ones that don't support Russia. This channel is on the conservative, occidental side of the fence. Take it with a pinch of salt.

  5. There's a saying, Mainland Chinese don't know the words 'Thank you' and 'Sorry'. I think this is very true. I once invited a Mainland family over for dinner and sent them an invitation card. They didn't attend, nor call back or even a msg of thank you. Likewise with the pandemic, not a single word of apology. Not a single sorry for 500 million cases and 6 million deaths and counting.

  8.  @No_Anime_No_Life.  I can't agree with this. I'm well versed in Japanese and Pacific war crimes and the numbers are quite high. Overall Chinese casualites are as high as 6.1 to 20 million. Nanjing massacre itself although contested sits around 40,000 to 300,000. Of course, Japan would want to go by the conservative estimates of 20-40,000 but that's not including POWs, Unit 731 figures. As Indonesian you should know how brutal IJA can be and the routines are similiar to what they did in Nanjing but on a smaller scale. The same with Phillipines and the Baatan Death March. You are right on Koreans. They make up 300,000 roughly quarter of a million Japanese army and committed some of the worst crimes in the Pacific. Many Koreans aren't charged after the war because they weren't considered ethnically Japanese. Very few if any Koreans were forced to be comfort women, many were lies. there were also few Korean casualties under Japanese colonial rule. Infact Korea benefited heavily from Japanese rule. But Koreans changed the narrative after the death of Park Chung Hee, and made themselves a victim when they were partners with Japan in the war. Through this victim mentality they were able to gain sympathy and independence from the Japanese. There were much fewer Taiwanese war criminals in IJA compared to Koreans.

I have relatives from Malaysia and Toh is a Southern Chinese surname mostly from Cantonese origin. He's definitely not from Taiwan and HK for obvious reasons. Not from China either, cause Mainlanders don't have English names unless for online trolling.

  22.  @audenchu6558  Historically, yes. Taiwan was part of China. however you need to research the laws after WW2, when Taiwan wasn't ceded back to China from Japan. This was decided by the allies, so I guess it's kinda unfair. But more importantly, this situation mirrors Ukraine. The Taiwanese people no longer wants reunification with China. Don't force people who hate you.
