*Update with anthropological, archeological, eugenics and linguistics evidence to debunk Koreans' claims on Japanese genetics, language and culture.
1) Eugenics - The latest genetic research have concluded that most modern Japanese (Kofun) originated from Yangtze basin, Yellow river, China while they are not determined Han Chinese. This accounts for more than 70% of modern Japanese people. The rest are relegated to Yayoi, Jomon, Ainus, Ryukuans and the inevitable mix of these varying genetics. It's crucial to add that the Yayoi are not Koreans despite the persistent claims by the Koreans. They are related to Japanese as they are to the Han Chinese.
Japanese pirates who raided Korean coasts are recorded numerous times to be ethnic Han Chinese. Rice DNA destroys Korean migration theory. Koreans didn't even carry a majority of rice in Kyushu. The Korean peninsula is a mountainous terrain which isn't ideal for growing crops or rice. The technology of rice irrigation itself came from Yangtze river which further cements the theory of Japanese-China origins. Wa (Japan) state ruler Queen Himiko claimed herself to be descendent of King Taibo of Wu. Japanese carry far greater Ydna (O3) than Koreans even though Koreans carry a large amount as well due to Han Chinese.
Haploid 2b are given to South Koreans through Japanese excursions, diplomatic marriages, frequent raids from Xiongnu, Xiangbein (Mongolic) and Jurchen (Manchu) raids upon Korean territories. This is why North Koreans have almost no 2b. Koreans lacked naval abilities, navigation and sea warfare, therefore none of the Korean states dared to live close to the shores and Silla was almost completely destroyed by frequent raids from Japan. Han Chinese commandaries existed everywhere on the peninsula and even the modern day capital Seoul (City of Han) named after the Han Chinese as well as it's flag designed by a Chinese official based on Yin Yang, Bagua, I-Ching and Taoist philosophy.
Koreans are closely related to the Evenki. They also share the same practice of worshipping Totem poles which doesn't exist in Japan. Phenotype wise, Koreans have extremely thin small eyes, straight hair, big bodies, wide jaw, flat face, high cheekbones while Japanese have almond to big eyes, more refined hair, longer face, slender body, dental protusion/misalignment, bowed legs. The 2 couldn't be more different. While there are some Japanese that may look Korean, one could argue the same with some Koreans looking Chinese. There's also the migration of Zainichi Koreans after the war who accounts for Korean genes detected in the Japanese populace.
2) Archeology/Artifacts - Jared Diamond argued that Japan had historical relics similiar to that of Korea which led to his absurd conclusion Japanese thus originated from Korea. This couldn't be further from the truth.
In the video, Jared refers to the bronze mirror called Shinjū-kyō (神獣鏡, "deity and beast mirror") which is an ancient round bronze mirror decorated with images of gods and animals from Chinese mythology. The shinjū-kyō style of bronze mirror originated from the Chinese magic mirrors and was frequently produced during the Han dynasty, Three Kingdoms, and Six Dynasties (1st–6th centuries CE). Therefore we can deduce that Koreans also copied this from the Chinese, and Japanese could be from China or learnt the techniques directly from China.
3) Linguistics - Koreans often claim Korean and Japanese are in the same Altaic category of languages. However this is a huge fallacy. Japanese language is uniquely Japonic and Korean is a Tungus/Altaic language similiar to Evenki. Koreans would argue from the point of Korean and Japanese sharing a similar grammar. English and Chinese also share the same grammar, it doesn't make them the same. The Altaic hypothesis has also been debunked by historical linguists Alexander Vovin and Toh Soo Hee. Other than grammar, the 2 languages are not related due to a lack of cognates other than loanwords (Onyomi, Kanji + Hanja pronunciation) which are both borrowed from the Chinese language. Infact the Korean language is strongly influenced by Dravidian languages like Tamil besides Chinese. Hundreds of words, basic Nouns and pronouns like Appa (father) and Ama (mother) are exactly the same in Korean and Tamil. This is completely different from Japanese. A Korean King Suro of Gaya also married an Indian woman, Heo Hwang-ok, also known as Suriratna. The Indian connection can't be understated.

Lol, Koreans often like to lie and claim the cultures, histories and even genetics of other nations.
Anthropological, archeological, eugenics and linguistics evidence to debunk Koreans' claims on Japanese genetics, language and culture.
1) Eugenics - The latest genetic research published in Smithsonian concluded that most modern Japanese (Kofun) originated from Yangtze basin, China while they are not determined Han Chinese. They are a proto mongoloid group that traversed to Japan via the Korean peninsula, and related to Japanese as they are to the Han Chinese (Trivia: famous Japanese actress Yuki Amami traced her lineage to Tibetans again cementing Japanese origins to the Yangtze basin. A documentary by NHK also supports this). Genome analysis research conducted by Associate Professor Jun Ohashi at the University of Tokyo.
”研究室の扉「DNAを縄文時代まで遡る」大橋順准教授” further debunks Korean claims of Japanese genealogy.
Japanese pirates who raided Korean coasts are recorded numerous times to be ethnic Han Chinese. Rice DNA destroys Korean migration theory with Kyushu rice DNA matching those of Yangtze, China. The Korean peninsula is a mountainous terrain which isn't ideal for growing crops or rice. The technology of rice irrigation itself came from Yangtze river which further cements the theory of Japanese-China origins. This is based on DNA sampling of rice in Japan that is traced back to China. The earliest female ruler of Wa (Japan) Queen Himiko met official envoys from China and spoke nothing of Korea or Koreans. Japanese people existed before the Yamato clans. Japanese carry far greater Ydna (O3) than Koreans even though Koreans carry a large amount as well due to Han Chinese.
Haploid 2b are given South Korean through Japanese excursions, diplomatic marriages, frequent raids from Xiongnu, Xiangbein (Mongolic) and Jurchen (Manchu) raids upon Korean territories. A Korean King Suro of Gaya also married an Indian woman, Heo Hwang-ok, also known as Suriratna. The Indian connection can't be understated.
4) Education - Education or to be precise, the complete lack of it is another factor as to why Koreans believe their nonsensical claims of Japanese DNA. Koreans suffer from a huge inferiority complex towards the Japanese having been subjugated by Japan as a colony for decades. Hence, post war education was full of false anti Japanese propaganda. The Korean government took a page from Imperial Japan and promoted the propaganda of a superior, pure Korean blood and race. By claiming to be the progenitors of Japanese, they can offset the shame of being a defeated, colonized people. The propaganda was taught in middle school up till the 90s then through word of mouth by parents and the elderly. Korean education system also deliberately omit many Sino/Chinese influences on Korean civilization and culture along with banning Hanja (Chinese characters). This has spawned generations of Koreans claiming various Chinese history, cultures, inventions and arts. Again this stems from the inferiority complex of being a vassal state of China for centuries.

In Asia only two cultures are relevant. Chinese and Japanese. Does Korea have world renowned superstars like Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Chow Yun Fat, Michelle Yeoh, Donnie Yen? Before 2000, not many westerners even knew where Korea was on the map. And every Asian were assumed as Chinese or Japanese.
Does Korea have ancient/folklore literature like China's Romance of 3 Kingdoms, Journey to the West, Water Margin, Mulan, White Snake? Or Japan's Tales of Genji, Diary of Lady Murasaki?
Korea has only 1 Nobel prize which is trailing behind Japan and even China which is an oppressive communist country. And almost every Korean cuisine has been influenced by their colonial master China, Japan, US respectively.

Koreans are smart at using other Asian countries for their gain then verbally abusing them. Case in point, K-pop and K-Dramas are aggressively marketed in Japan, China, South East Asia. Once Koreans got fame and money from their overseas exploits, they trash talk those countries. Blaming Japan for everything, using China as an emotional punching bag and looking down on South east Asia. What's even more surprising are the amount of brainwashed Koreaboo fanatics that worship and defend Korea, most who are women. Koreans also have terrible cuisine like the British. Very plain and no taste. Most of their famous cuisines are actually stolen from China and Japan like Ramyeon, Jajangmyeon, Mandu, Kimbap, etc

Out of the 3 countries China, Japan, Korea, Korea has the least cultures. Just 30 years ago no one even knows where Korea is on the map. Speak of China, people know 5000 years history, Greatwall, Kungfu, foods. Speak of Japan, samurai, ninja, anime, sushi. Korea only copy China and Japan making their fake versions of culture.

Koreans steal Chinese surnames> Lee, Yuen, Kim, Lim, Hwang, Yuen, Chang, Jung etc. Korean names use Chinese characters, reflecting the Korean aristocracy's adoption of Confucian naming models (i.e., full names) as long ago as the fifth century. Commoners on the peninsula did not have that privilege.
“For much of Korean history, only the elite had surnames,” Baker said. “Those elites tended to adopt surnames that would make it plausible to claim that they had ancestors from China, then the country Koreans admired the most. There were only a few such surnames. So, when commoners began acquiring surnames [later], they grabbed one already in use to bask in the prestige of the families that were already using that surname.” Baker further noted that Korea was an aristocratic society until the modern era, with only a few families at the top of the social ladder. “That limited the number of 'high-prestige' surnames available,” he added.

Difference between Chinese, Korean, Japanese. The Truth. No sugar coating.
Chinese - Round head, round eyes, men normally short buzz hair cut. Poor grooming, no fashion sense, not very hygienic, Chinese women often wear red, pink or purple puffer down jackets in winter. Friendly, easy going and outspoken.
Korean - Smallest eyes, wide face, high cheekbones, square jaw, straight hair, big bodies. Drone mentality, following top trends, no sense of individuality, everyone has the same hairstyle and clothes. Men have rice bowl, mushroom haircut. Not friendly, xenophobic, highly nationalistic. Loud voice and aggressive.
Japanese - Almond shaped eyes to big, slender than Koreans, sharper face, higher nose bridge, dental misalignment, finer hair. Very organized, disciplined and law abiding. Good sense of fashion. Not friendly, cold on first contact, xenophobic, strong right wing factions. Polite and courteous on the outside but may criticize you behind your back.

It's crucial to add that the Yayoi are not Koreans despite the persistent claims by the Koreans.
In a Korean documentary, Jared refers to the bronze mirror called Shinjū-kyō (神獣鏡, "deity and beast mirror") which is an ancient round bronze mirror decorated with images of gods and animals from Chinese mythology.

Anthropological, archeological, eugenics and linguistics evidence to debunk Koreans' claims on Japanese genetics, language and culture.

Aside from having almost completely different faces, Koreans also have very specific genetic markers absent in modern Japanese people: attached earlobes, lines in inner elbows, pockmark holes at side of temple (men), extremely tiny hooded eyes, wide face, wide jaw, high cheekbones, much bigger bodies, shoulder and thighs, prone to retain body fat, females have tight shaped reproductive organ, inability to grow decent facial hair, hair texture like toothbrush compared to finer Japanese hair.

During the Song Dynasty, the Khitan in the north fought with the new Goryeo Dynasty, and the Goryeo Dynasty was independent for a time, but the subsequent rise of the Yuan Dynasty took away the Goryeo Dynasty's independence. The name of the country, Yi Dynasty Joseon, was given by Zhu Yuanzhang. When Yi Seong-gye, the founding king of the Yi Dynasty, usurped the throne of the Goryeo Dynasty and sent a letter to the Ming Dynasty's Ministry of Rites inquiring about the name of the new government, Zhu Yuanzhang replied, "The only name for the country of the Eastern Barbarians is Joseon." The Joseon Dynasty used the Ming era name, had no concept of a nation, called itself "Eastern Country" (東国) because China was its center, and wore Ming clothing. Today, it is called hanbok, but in fact it is Ming clothing.

S.Korea and Japan's evil distorted perception of China.
S.Korea - ''It's true we were influenced by China, but they destroyed their own cultures in the Cultural Revolution. Therefore, their culture is ours now and only we deserve to inherit this culture. We decided to distort history and now claim many Chinese cultures, inventions as Korean. Besides we have the earliest and longest history in Asia. Hangul is the most advanced, scientific language in the world unlike Chinese. China is poor, dirty and uncivilized. They do not deserve our respect. Communism completely ruined Chinese society. The Chinese are also inferior to our special Joseon DNA'. We also hate and look down on Joseonjok/Korean-Chinese. We must help US contain China''
Japan - ''China greatly influenced our country. We respect Chinese past civilization, cultures, literature and folklore. We love RO3K, Journey to the West, Water Margin and it's an inspiration to our modern culture like gaming and manga i.e Dragonball, Dynasty warriors, Suikoden etc. However, we do not love the Chinese people. It's a pity that such great cultures were created by such lowly communists. Therefore, we should be the rightly owner of these cultures. We must downplay any achievements of China and spread anti-Chinese propaganda with our mass media and news. We must help US contain China. Chinese are also not welcomed in Japan as migrants.''

Korea has less than 80 years of history. Even the term 'Korea' is a new word invented by Europeans to describe the inhabitants of fallen Silla and Baekje kingdoms. Goguryo is Buyeo and Chinese territory so Korea's 3 Kingdoms is a lie like everything else they claim. Kana (hiragana, katakana) which is derived from Chinese characters predates Hangul by more than 600 years. Japan has the world's oldest continuous monarchy dating back to at least 539 CE. Baekje lasted for 700 years, from 18 BCE to 660 CE. After the defeat of Baekje by Tang Dynasty, King Uija died in China and there was no record of Baekje remnant mass migration to Japan by China's Shujing or Japan's Kojiki except for political prisoners and low ranking officials. Both the oldest written history records of the Chinese and Japanese. What's even more damning is the Key Hole shaped tombs that Korean historians claim to prove their control over Japan. When carbon dating has confirmed it was Korea which copied the tombs' shapes. A reverse Uno that may imply Japanese were the ones who ruled Korea.
Also, Yayois were never confirmed to be Koreans but a sub Mongoloid group which shares a common ancestor with the Chinese, Mongols, Manchus. They too were falsely claimed by Koreans. 71% of modern Japanese are Kofun with a Haploid cluster dna D2 (D-M55) which is completely absent in modern Koreans but correlates to Tibetans further cementing Kofuns originated from Yangtze basin. D2 frequency is also highest in the Ainu and the Ryukyuans (International Society of Genetic Genealogy). Lastly, a funny joke. Korean Cultural Center claims Korea has 700,000 years of history with the earliest known civilization being the kingdom of Gojoseon, predating the four oldest civilizations in the world Mesopotamia, Egypt, Indus Valley, and China LOL.

Koreans are really nice and welcoming people. They never gossip behind your back, troll online, promote hate speech or discriminate against other ethnicities or minorites. Muslims, Yemeni refugees, Vietnamese wives are also loved in Korea. Joseonjok, North Koreans are seen as equals. Chinese and Japanese face very little hatred. Xenophobia against Blacks and Indians are almost non existent. Romantic Korean oppas take good care of the children they made in Philippines and South East Asia. Korean clubs welcome all ethnicities and public racism is strongly condemned. Koreans are not materialistic and have natural faces with very low cosmetic surgery rates and do not indulge in luxury goods. It's the best country in the world, there's no idol criminal scandals, toilet spy cams, illegal chat rooms. And K-pop, K-dramas, Korean cults are so popular it spreads faster than Covid. Let's enjoy Korea~~ I Seoul you, finger heart 💜 Pighting~! 🇰🇷😊

Okay, let's get some things straight. There's nothing interesting about Korea. If we compare the 3 East Asian countries China, Japan, Korea the last is always Korea.
There's really nothing to see and do in Korea. Authentic Korean food is bland and taste like medicine. The Chinese and Japanese appropriated dishes like Jajangmyeon, Kimbap, Ramen, Japchae, Ssam, Sang gaetang, Mandu, rice cakes etc do not count. Sight seeing? Small alley ways of Hanok village are miserable. You can see tons of Chinese architecture in any 2nd tier city. You also have shameless fake copycat of Disney Land (Ever Land) and fake Disney World (Lotte World). Cafes and bistros that completely copied from Europe. Fake goods and fashion at Myeong Dong. Only K-pop fans go to concerts in Korea and buy their merchandise. But what real adult likes K-Pop? 😂

Korean man arrested for sexually harassing women, robberies in Japan.
A Korean national, identified only by his surname Kim, has been arrested for sexually harassing three females in Osaka, Japan, according to a Japanese broadcaster's report on Tuesday. The man allegedly committed a total of eight crimes over the course of one week that included robberies and sex crimes after arriving in Japan, prompting local police to launch further investigations.
According to Yomiuri TV and local media sources, Kim was arrested in Osaka on suspicion of committing indecent assault in March. While asking a woman for directions to the nearest subway station, he sexually harassed her by touching her breasts. The man reportedly went on to assault two other females consecutively, including a middle school student.
The man was arrested by local police after he attempted to steal a woman’s bag the next day. The police tracked his whereabouts through the security camera installed at his hotel. Local police learned of Kim’s alleged sex crimes while questioning him about his theft attempt.
Kim, while admitting to his bag theft attempt, said he was visiting Japan as a tourist.

As a fan of J-Pop since the 90s, it was never very famous outside of Japan except for a few big artists like Utada, Hamasaki, X-Japan. Japan's entertainment has always been focused domestically with almost no promotion outside the country. That shows the true quality of their softpower. While Korea had the advantage of technology, internet and social media to promote their trashy K-Pop, K dramas to the world in early 2000s.
Now speaking of China in the 90s, it was still poorer than Mexico. Let alone having any softpower. Even today all big 'Chinese' stars are from Hong Kong and Taiwan eg Jackie Chan, Chow Yun Fat, Stephen Chow, Andy Lau, Ang Lee, Jay Chou etc. Mainland China has not produced a single famous artist, actor, director outside of China.

Speaking of Korean softpower, everything was copied from US and Japan. In Myeongdong they sell fake designer brands, fake adidas, new balance shoes, nike clothes, fake playstations, unlicensed Marvel and DC products. On a higher level, Koreans sneakily copy tons of music from US and Japan in K-Pop (over 700 songs plagiarized by BTS, Blackpink, IZone all the big acts). Koreans also copy and steal Japanese stories and plots from movies/anime/manga/novels eg Squid game, All of us are dead, winter sonata, Running man, Produce 101, Heart signal. Koreans copy over 100 Japanese snacks, beverages and confectionary without licensing. hey made copycat Demon Slayer game, copycats Pokemon, Doraemon, One piece etc. They steal Japanese agricultural products like grapes, strawberries, Kumaras, Mirin oranges. I can go on and on.

Lillias Underwood a member of the medical missionaries belonging to PCUS (presbyterian church in the united states) was dispatched by this institute to the korean peninsula in 1888. She observes in her travellers journal like this:
"Koreans are accustomed to getting a living out of the people through fraud, bribery, oppression, "squeezing," and all sorts of political dirty work and corruption; evil men and still more evil women spreading the cancerous disease through the little town, until every one appears to be steeped in
'the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life,' and worshipers of the god of this world." (Fifteen Years among the Top-Knots or Life in Korea, Kessinger, 2007. pp.188-89)

"Koreans are accustomed to getting a living out of the people through fraud, bribery, oppression, "squeezing," and all sorts of political dirty work and corruption; evil men and still more evil women spreading the cancerous disease through the little town, until every one appears to be steeped in
the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life,' and worshipers of the god of this world." (Fifteen Years among the Top-Knots or Life in Korea, Kessinger, 2007. pp.188-89)

Tbh, Asia has weak soft power compared to European countries. All of Asia sucks except Japan. Take South Korea for example. Many hail this country as a comparable soft power with Japan. But the 2 are nowhere close. Go vacation in S.Korea, where do you go for sightseeing. There are no historical relics that are worthy as their entire history were subjugated by Chinese, Japanese, Mongols. Food taste bland like medicine. K-Pop idols are just copycats of US Pop culture. Attractions that are rip-offs eg Disney Land vs Ever Land and Disney World vs Lotte World. Even the rides are straight ripoffs of Disney franchises and movies.
In Asia, I suggest Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore. All are better and more cultured than South Korea. Japan most metropolitian in Asia. HK has nice Cantonese food, HK movie industry. Taiwan great street food and alley ways. Singapore a nice, clean developed tropical country.

350,000 Korean soldiers in IJA

Survivor of 'Death Railway' says K guards were worst tormentors of Allied prisoners and 'should be whipped'
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/japan/11220761/British-ex-POW-in-Japanese-camp-disgusted-by-guard-demands-for-compensation.html
Bataan death march was orchestrated by K units.
As one prisoner noted, "The K guards were the most abusive... the K were anxious to get blood on their bayonets; and then they thought they were veterans."
https://www.b-29s-over-korea.com/Bataan-Death-March/index2.html
Hong Sa-ik was an ethnic K who, in WW2, became the overall commander of the Japanese prison camps in the Philippines. He was even held responsible for the atrocities committed in the Japanese prison camps. and he was executed as a war criminal.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hong_Sa-ik
Check out this from the Australian War Memorial:
"Saraburi, Thailand. September 1945. K guards, members of the Japanese Imperial Army, lined up for an identification parade. The K were amongst the most brutal of the guards encountered by Allied prisoners of war (POWs) working on the Burma-Thailand railway. After the Japanese surrender, identification parades were held of possible war criminals where former POWs would identify, for the Allied authorities, Japanese soldiers who had committed atrocities. (Donor B. Theobald)"

Lol, the Confucius rumor was actually spread by a Japanese TV show. However it's true that Koreans have been claiming and stealing other Chinese cultures and territory like Goguryo, Kimchi, Hanbok, Jajangmyeon, Mandu, Japchae, rice cakes, Ramen, Tanghulu, Sangaetang, Yin Yang symbol I-Ching Bagua, Chinese New Year, Chinese Zodiac, chopsticks and thousands more

Some people, especially Westerners can't tell the difference between Chinese, Korean, Japanese.
Few hints:
Chinese - bigger eyes, round head, bristle hair (men), pudgy nose, likes wearing red, pink, purple downjackets (women)
Korean - smallest eyes (of any race), taller, wide jaw, flat face, straight hair, bigger stature
Japanese - almond shaped to big eyes, shorter than Chinese and Koreans, straight nose, finer hair (slight curl, thicker, bowed legs (women), dental misalignment, snaggleteeth

@SuperDuperAndroid typical strawman argument. The fact is China experienced many wars with millions of casualties from Mongol invasion, 3 centuries of Manchu rule, millions of Han killed, beheaded, pig tailed, forced to wear Manchu attire, foot binding etc, Taiping Rebellion, Opium wars, KMT civil war etc. Did any of those offenders apologize? And if you want a more recent example than WW2, CCP is responsible for the deaths of 40 millions Chinese. Did they apologize?
