  1. The Old Farmer's Almanac has been published continuously since 1792, making it the oldest continuously published periodical in North America. It was used for tracking weather, publishing the results, and allow the reader / farmer to help forecast weather for farming based upon historical data. I gardened, from the time of my youth, would purchase & read it.
