15:15 - “next time a natural gas power plant is proposed, we should… factor the cost of the natural gas power plant and the carbon capture system to offset that credit and the energy needed to power it… against something like solar, wind, or nuclear…”
Problem is solar, wind, and nuclear all need natural gas peaker plants to be viable since no one wants dams to store massive potential energy, they have been deconstructing dams for decades because of environmental reasons, and people die when they can’t get energy to keep them from freezing to death or dehydrating from excessive heat.
Look at the greater Texas power outage that lasted many days in the winter… that polar vortex required so much energy that even peaker plants could not keep up! The solar, wind, and nuclear could not hold candle to what the peaker plants were required to produce… and could not produce. (All the charges Batteries in the world could not have helped, by the way.)
Ricky - you have no idea how big of a problem that energy is. You have a small clue, but you really don’t understand how big the problem is.
