Drug treatment, without legal coercion through the legal system, is not as effective when the mind of the addict is compromised by addiction & physical reactions resulting in pain occur due to withdrawal symptoms. Anyone who experienced addiction, from a familial or friend perspective can testify how people often struggle with overcoming addiction, without being coerced/forced to do so… and that can only be done through police & legal physical coercion. This means police & judicial funding.
