  1. During an April Hindu holiday, people were pelting faithful followers walking in a procession in the street. The stoning of the Hindus resulted in stones being thrown back, and full scale rioting ensued. There has been a renewed push to demolish Illegally built shops & walls on the streets, since this event. It seems obvious that there is a degree of corporate retribution for communities which allowed stoning of Hindu processions during festivals, but the government suggests that they are merely clearing the roadways of illegal buildings & walls that encroached public access... to facilitate safe public use.

  2.  @_aliveabhi  - it seems pretty clear that if it was illegal construction that was demolished, they were following state rules
