Not just the face…the savior of boxing. Remember how depressing the end of 2022 was for us as boxing fans. So many fights cancelled, fights fallen through and ended with Fury Chisora 3. Absolutely abysmal. Then this guy shows up and now we get dream fights almost on the monthly. It’s awesome 🥊

@niceguy1308 settle down mate. Don’t embarrass yourself.

@jamessalt2304 no one would argue with that but I think in context the person who originated this thread was talking about the face of boxing currently/presently. There are many individuals historically one could argue as the face of boxing including Ali for sure. Today though I think you’ll find that Turki is about to take things to a whole other level and indeed has begun that already.

@jamessalt2304 I’d be a terrible English tutor. I have severe dyslexia. Like I said I wasn’t trying to be picky but Ali fought hard out of the ring to change his name so perhaps we should strive to get it right is all. As for a non-boxer being the face of boxing at any given point in time unfortunately that’s nothing new. Could be an argument made that at one time Don King who was by then a convicted murderer was the face of global boxing for a period of time.

@jamessalt2304 always will be? But he wasn’t before he was. So he hasn’t always been. Correct? In the history of boxing there were many before Ali that made incredible sacrifices and achieved amazing feats.

@paulbaker6508 agreed although I can also see a Parker stoppage of Dubois being a possibility. Definitely with you on Andy Lee. Actually Lee might be Parker’s most powerful weapon in this fight. He’s a great trainer and I love his break down of fights and fighters.

Turki made this happen. Period.

The naivety of people in these comments is crazy to me. On the Benn v Eubank fight: - all of you will watch everything about this build up and whine and complain and create engagement all the way to the fight. Huge numbers as a result. - Then you will do the same to the rematch. Bigger numbers as a result. - Then you will keep it going for years after that which will milk the “tail” as it’s known. -That’s what they want. You’re puppets. On Turki shows: - They are amazing and they’re only going to get bigger and more prevalent globally. - It will completely revolutionize boxing and change it forever as a business. - Hearn, Warren etc can’t make those shows without going bankrupt. On the wider stuff that very few of you think about: - Construction contracts is where the money is in Saudi and UAE and those areas. If I was Hearn or Frank…I’m getting a bit of that and I’m sure they are. More money than you could ever dream of. So the, “they’re so sad they lost one fight”…grow up. That’s only something plebs are concerned about. Promotors win whether their fighters do or not. But in this new and unprecedented era these guys are now doing other deals you can’t even begin to imagine.

@jamessalt2304 and not to be picky but to give the man his proper name which he asked to be known by it’s “Muhammad Ali”…not “Mohammed Ali” 👍
2
@livin90proof don’t think that applies to the IBF guidelines for stripping their champion.

Canelo has done in one career what most greats would need five full careers to achieve. And that’s greats. Not just normal champions.

GILGAMESH54ij actually a young Atlas really did know his stuff. Under Cus D'Amato he was top of his game. Lately he’s sounded a bit more crazy and seems like he’s playing to the crowd.

GILGAMESH54ij ahhhh that makes sense 🫡

@ if triggered means hoping people use words and especially names correctly then yes for sure. Would you rather we put up with sloppy seconds bruh?
1
@stuarthudson2803 deliberately designed to “trigger” you…bruh. Looks like it did.

@Steve0272. ummm…one can say say that someone has objectively spelled another person’s name incorrectly surely? 🤷♂️

@jamessalt2304 unfortunately he was for a lot of people at one point. Not wrong about that buddy.
1
I agree. But if I was Usyk I’m not fighting any fights unless it’s for belts.

@elcasanova2853 ”…form the sport” Wanna maybe write proper prose buddy if you wanna convey your thoughts. And if your thoughts are that this guy runs “from” not “form” then he certainly doesn’t. Grow up pal.
1
@elcasanova2853 are you being serious right now?
1
@elcasanova2853 apart from David who is a tough ask weight wise anyway…who hasn’t Canelo fought?
1
@elcasanova2853 and I’m not a police grammar guy but if you are going to throw an entire man’s career under a bus at least type correctly.
1
@elcasanova2853 1. I think any form of PEDs is a shameful thing. Anyone rightfully convicted of that should face the appropriate consequences. Other than that I have no information on any individual athletes. 2. David Morrell (again spell his name correctly please) is a great up and coming boxer. Has nothing to to with Canelo though as he now campaigns at Light Heavyweight and doesn’t have any championship straps. What’s your point?
