Any time I want to like Joe Rogan…and my default is that I do…I have to remind myself that he looked Alex Honnold in the eye and without irony advised him on how he could improve his concentration. Ask yourself, could you look into Alex’s alien eyes and avoid looking at his freakish hands and ignore acknowledging that he climbed El Cap in under 4 hours without any ropes or support and say “Hey bro. My energy bars will help you”. Takes a certain type of arrogance.
