This is an amazing fight. Canelo is the man but this is more of a challenge than a lot of people make it out to be.

“Viva Puebla Mexico!” Great scrap for a mandatory and Ryder was crazy tough. Congrats to Canelo 🥊👍👏

Can’t wait for this fight and also excited for Parker v Zhang. Nick Ball becoming a World Champ would be icing on the cake.

Respectfully disagree with that assessment. You have to show the ref that you are able AND willing to carry on. You can't have your hands on the ropes with your back to the ref to the count of 8. It just doesn't convince the ref at all that you want to carry on. It certainly didn't look like Josh wanted to continue and indeed he didn't argue with the ref immediately when the ref waived it off. I understand what you are saying but due to what I've outlined above I disagree that the stoppage was premature. Great scrap regardless.

Love him or hate him there's no denying that AJ's resume so far is on another level from the rest of the field.
45
Not saying anything about who I think wins but just listening to how Usyk talks about how his mind works is on a different level to most people including most elite level boxers. Very impressive man both as a person and an elite level boxing athlete.

Those ring walk were POWERFUL. And what a fight!!! Rematch will be bigger. Stadium fight for sure.
19
If James is being truthful that AJ followed his instructions and executed exactly what he told AJ to do then that’s actually fairly encouraging.
16
Great fight and can’t wait. So hard to pick a winner. I keep changing my mind which is what makes this matchup so fascinating. Hopefully they both show up and bring their A games. Let’s get it on!!! 🥊🥊🥊

@Benita Longoria excuse me what?

That left arm looks farking gnarly to be fair. Had to take a few pauses during this fight to go and dry heave in the toilet when it dawned on me what he was dealing with regarding the bicep. Tough bloke for sure.

I looooove boxing. Snuck into my first live fight at 6 yrs old in 1983. Watched Benn, Eubank, Collins, Watson, Naz, Bruno on ITV Big Fight Live. Listened to Naz v Kelly in MSG on radio as a poor pathetic uni student. Fought for my local ABC. Then Glasgow Uni. Then as a Captain in the British Army. Now I train youth. But Fury is hard to like. Says legacy means nothing. Says legacy is everything. Born in Manchester but claims he’s Irish. Hates Britain but fights as a Brit. Says he will give his money to charity then doesn’t. I’m a Christian. He says he’s a Christian. Usyk seems more like someone that follows my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I want to support him…but he doesn’t make it easy.

To be fair it was Frank that kept calling it “the app”. And here years later he’s on it himself. I’m personally glad to see it and I love these two working together rather than against each other while still maintaining a healthy rivalry.
9
I lean toward Bud. Really hoping the car wreck hasn't had any long term effects on Spence. Great fight and can't wait.
9
Lennox didn’t have “all 4 straps”. Only 3 were recognized at the time so he was Undisputed but not in the 4 belt era. No Heavyweight has been Undisputed in the 4 belt era…yet.
9
Are you seriously questing Oscar’s status as a boxing legend? Really? There’s trolling and then there’s crazy.
7
@ravk5266 that bang bang one was by far and away the cheapest and laziest of the recent four promos. Fury v Usyk was the best to date. Warren and Wilder in the van was the funniest lol
7
It wasn’t a “punch from the Gods”. Usyk said he wouldn’t leave Fury alone and he didn’t. When the chance came he was ready and that was the game plan all along. Did the same as he does to everyone…exhausts them mentally and physically and emotionally. But Fury’s powers of recovery are inhuman. That’s for certain. He’s been knocked down many times but he always comes back. Can’t wait for the rematch 🥊🥊🥊
6
Fury as an all time great? Please! He has time to reach that but he ain’t there yet.
6
Because AJ has a rematch with Usyk. That’s why. But Wilder later would be interesting.
6
Tony’s boxing IQ and knowledge of the sport is fantastic and he’s a great addition to that commentary team. Glad he hasn’t disappeared despite folks calling him out on that all the time. Aaaaaaaaaaall the time. It’s beyond boring now.
6
@e.e121 sure. Absolutely. But not at the expense of getting sloppy on the things James talks about in this interview. James is crystal clear in this interview about what he wanted to see. Now that he’s seen it he says he wants to add more tools to AJ’s arsenal. That he says he can’t train AJ like he trains Spence and Charlo is super honest about where he rates AJ’s technical ability. Gives me a lot of confidence that James know exactly where AJ is at and exactly what he (James) wants to do with him.
5
How you figure that? Not hating on you. Genuine question. Create an argument as to how if Canelo is not current P4P (and he isn't) how Jermell becomes P4P if he beats Canelo.
5
They were told off by the commission since promoters can’t bet on their own fights. Eddie says they’re coming up with something else though. Sounds like possibly a charity fight.
5
Protect yourself at all times. Ref should have separated them. It’s not a fighter’s job to listen for a bell. Why wasn’t Whyte disqualified for punching waaaaay after the bell in such a blatant manner. This punch was the end of a combination. A warning would have been fair. The guy was clearly in charge of the whole fight.
5
Should AJ go to the Kronk gym to prep for the second fight?
5
@wahmmydakidd7435 “Capp”? Is that a word? Do you have anything remotely resembling a cogent sentence mate?
5
Has anyone in these comments actually watched the whole interview and listened to what James said? Doesn’t look like it.
5
Billy looks ready for a basketball game 🤣
4
@matthewabraham4689 time will tell. Always does.
4
@freddiefreeman4119 yup exactly my point. But the commentator in this clip said “four straps” referring to Lennox. Lewis had three…not four. But at the time only three were recognized so he was still Undisputed. You are agreeing with me mate. The commentator slipped up is all.
4
Nope still don’t get it other than that it probably makes more money for the WBC. The comment at 4:38 perfectly sums up where I end up with it.
4
@TheHealerr or maybe he’ll say he will pay when Fury’s charity finally receives that $8m purse he promised them. Check’a been in the mail a looooong time now. But now like I said they were told by the commission they are not allowed to bet on their own fights so no $1m for anyone.
3
@edoz3279 like I said in my original comment I agree. Right decision was made in this particular situation in my opinion.
3
@fezfez3934 Gonna be a great fight for sure when it finally happens. The only names on Fury's resume I'd rate though are Wilder and Klitschko. Maybe Chisora.
3
@WilliamWhareaorere-m4c sorry mate I’ve answered you twice and it’s been removed. At least I can’t see it. So this time I’ll simply say…yes 👍
3
Brits. One of the few nations to eat their own.
3
@pauld6400 Have you ever had a torn or severed bicep?
3
Given the news today that he got done for PEDs AGAIN you feel sorry for these previous opponents as there's no way Miller wasn't juicing for those fights as well. He shouldn't be allowed back this time.
3
@NoHomo1776 what’s you’re point?
2
Woah! Wtf was said by Ruiz there at the end that caused AJ to look so dejected?!!
2
@iamoption11 100% agree. But again…James didn’t ask him to do that. Following and trusting a trainer’s advice which leads to a win is the point of that fight.
2
Highlights but doesn’t even show the point deduction?
2
@catanoclint 🤣🤣🤣 I don’t think so mate.
2
@paul_raftery yeah Frank is Fury’s promoter which was why he was involved in that one. He promotes Zhang and Nick Ball on this card for sure and maybe some folks lower on the card hence his involvement in this one. Don’t see anything about him being Ngannou’s promoter though 🤷♂️
2
Great fight. Can’t wait for it. Parker so deserves the success he’s been having lately. So does Zhang as well of course.
2
@Sean-g1h yup the bell going does add a twist to the tale but again...ref's decision in the moment. And as I've said already at 8 count when the fighter is leaning on the ropes looking at his corner with his back to you (as the ref)...what else can you do/say? The fighter has just "told" you effectively "No Mas".
2
2:57 Not often that Eddie gets it wrong but between Joseph Parker and the first Chisora fight Dillian had 3 other bouts one of which was the epic KO of Lucas Brown. Worth mentioning at least.
2
@Aphorim hmmm….maybe he will next. Have you been unhappy with his fights right date?
2
@ElMencho. to be fair BJS was winning that fight till the TKO. If anyone if gonna give Canelo issues at his comfortable weight it’ll be a southpaw. But Canelo always finds a way.
