Then why isn't this happening in states like Utah, Idaho, Wyoming and Montana? These states have FAR HIGHER rates of firearm ownership than Illinois.

@Morzanith If this wasn't created by the culture where it happened, why do we not have the level of violence that Chicago has in places like Bozeman Montana, Cheyenne Wyoming, Boise Idaho and Salt Lake City Utah? All these places have far higher gun ownership than Chicago and are very safe places to live.

Why is it though that the VAST MAJORITY of these acts of violence happen in areas (States/Cities) that have the strictest Gun Control Laws? Could it be that there is something to blame for this other than the guns which always seem to get the blame?
